Chris Hennessey
Chris Hennessey boasts nearly 20 years of experience having provided legal counsel to businesses and individuals in all areas involving copyright, trademarks, and internet law. He regularly represents and counsels parties in trademark and copyright infringement matters, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, and related claims. Chris has substantial trial and appellate level experience in state and federal courts.
After earning his Juris Doctorate, Chris earned a Masters in Law in Intellectual Property from the University of New Hampshire’s Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property. Early into his career, Chris became passionate about this area of law, opting to intern at the United States Patent and Trademark Office of the Solicitor and in the litigation department of a major motion picture studio in California while in law school.
A major part of Chris’ practice is trademark and copyright registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the United States Copyright Office. Chris has been involved in opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Chris also negotiates agreements involving intellectual property rights, and he regularly counsels clients involved in the arts, music, and theatre. In addition, Chris helps companies and individuals navigate through various intellectual property, privacy, and e-commerce issues on the Internet.
